Service Call Warranty

14 days from the date of the original service. If the customer calls back within 14 days for the SAME issue, the service call is free. After 14 days, a standard service call fee applies.

If a new or unrelated problem occurs, it is treated as a new service call regardless of timing.

Labor Warranty

Default: 14 days from the date of the original service for workmanship.

Pricing Policies — Common Questions

What does the $169 service call include? +
Travel to your home, the complete 17-point safety inspection, up to 20 minutes of skilled labor, a written diagnosis, and a clear explanation of findings. If the repair finishes inside that window, the $169 is the whole bill. Additional labor is $60 per 20-minute block, quoted before work continues.
What if I decline the repair? +
You owe only the $169 service call. No pressure and no follow-up sales calls — you still leave with the written inspection findings and a clear picture of the door's condition.
Do you charge extra for same-day or emergency service? +
No. No emergency fees, no rush charges, no after-hours premiums — the published price is the price whenever you call. Same-day availability is subject to technician availability; see availability conditions.
How does multi-repair pricing work? +
The first service on the visit is billed at its standalone price, which includes the $169 service call. Each additional service on the same visit is billed at the lower add-on rate. You never pay the service call twice, and the multi-repair rate applies automatically.
Can I negotiate the price? +
No — and that's the point. Published pricing means every customer gets the same fair price. Technicians are not incentivized to upsell and cannot give discounts at the door.
What forms of payment do you accept? +
Cash, check, and all major credit cards — Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover. Payment is collected after the work is complete and you've confirmed satisfaction, and payment activates the written warranty the same day.
What warranty comes with the work? +
Spring replacements carry a 1-year parts and labor warranty. New opener installations carry a 1-year installation labor warranty. Other repairs carry a 14-day labor warranty and a 30-day parts warranty on hardware. Full warranty details.
Do I need to be home during the service? +
Yes — someone who can make decisions about the work needs to be present. The technician explains the findings and the price before any work begins, and you decide.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel? +
Call or text at least 24 hours before the appointment. There is no cancellation fee, and you may reschedule up to 2 times per appointment.
Are you licensed and insured? +
Yes. Southern Garage Doors is a licensed Florida contractor (SCC131153700) and carries liability and workers' compensation coverage on every call.
