How We Use AI at Southern Garage Doors

When you call Southern Garage Doors at (941) 356-4334, you'll be greeted by Jenny, our AI-powered phone receptionist. We believe in being straightforward about how this technology works, what it can do, and what it can't.

What Jenny Can Do

Jenny is designed to handle the most common parts of a service call so you get quick, accurate answers without waiting on hold:

Provide pricing for garage door services based on our current rate card.
Schedule appointments by checking our real-time availability and booking directly into our system.
Answer service questions about what we offer, our service area, and how our process works.
Look up warranty information by searching our service records for your property.
Collect your information (name, address, phone, email) to prepare for your appointment.

Jenny is available every time you call. She doesn't take lunch breaks, doesn't put you on hold, and treats every caller with the same patience and respect.

What Jenny Cannot Do

Jenny is a tool, not a technician. There are things she's not designed to handle:

Diagnose your garage door. Jenny can tell you about common symptoms and what they might mean, but she can't see your door. The technician diagnoses the actual problem on-site.
Provide binding quotes. Pricing Jenny provides is based on standard rates and the information you give her. The technician confirms the exact price after inspecting your system. You always approve before work begins.
Handle complaints or disputes. If you have a concern about prior service, billing, or a warranty claim that needs human judgment, Jenny will connect you with our office or take your information for a callback.
Give safety or repair instructions. For your safety, we don't provide DIY guidance. Garage door systems involve high-tension springs and heavy components that require professional service.

How It Works

You call (941) 356-4334. Jenny greets you and lets you know the call is being recorded and that she's an AI assistant.
You tell her what you need. She listens, asks clarifying questions (one at a time — she won't overwhelm you), and looks up the right information.
She provides pricing and schedules. If you'd like to book, she walks you through the process step by step.
The technician confirms everything on-site. Whatever Jenny quoted on the phone, the technician verifies when he sees your door. You approve the final price before any work starts.

If at any point you'd prefer to speak with a person, just ask. Jenny can transfer you or arrange a callback.

Your Privacy

When you interact with Jenny:

Your call is recorded for quality, accuracy, and recordkeeping, in compliance with Florida law. Jenny tells you this at the beginning of every call.
Your information is used only for service. We don't sell your data, we don't market to you, and we don't share your information with anyone except the services needed to schedule and perform your appointment.
Call data is stored securely and retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
